The Consortium is proud to participate as technical sponsor in the Museum Project of the Capitolium Roman Temple, as part of the initiatives organized by the Municipality of Brescia and Brescia Museums Foundation, to celebrate the return of the Winged Victory to Brescia, the extraordinary statue of Roman era, symbol of the city of Brescia and icon of Brescia identity.
After a long and meticulous restoration work, lasting more than two years and carried out by the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence, the Winged Victory will be officially returned to Brescia in June 2020, and will have a new location in the eastern cell of the Capitolium Temple, in a placement designed by Spanish Architect Juan Navarro Baldeweg.
The Consortium, as technical sponsor, will build the new base in Botticino Classico marble, on which the Winged Victory will be relocated to the Capitolium Temple.
2020 will be an extraordinary year, with a great schedule of events that will involve different areas, from archeology, ancient and contemporary art, to theatre and photography, with the intervention of big names: Juan Navarro Baldeweg, Marcello Barbanera, Fausto Cabra, Emilio Isgrò, Paolo Tassinari, Francesco Vezzoli.
On the website dedicated to Winged Victory, you can find the complete program of 2020/2021 initiatives: www.vittorialatabrescia.it
